This is my tribute to all those who dare to be themselves even when others tell them who they are—or warn them they might go to hell for it.

​

These are boys. I don't know if they're gay or straight, trans or cis, queer or anything else. And neither do you. They're simply two boys wearing something that makes them feel beautiful, walking arm in arm toward whatever awaits them.

​

Perhaps the bravest thing we can do for a child—or for anyone—is resist the urge to define them and simply make room for them to discover who they are.
