Artist Note

Beneath a luminous moon and surrounded by the quiet greening of the earth, two mirrored figures arc toward the sky as a radiant lotus opens between them. The image evokes a moment of emergence—when something long held within begins to reveal itself.

For much of my life, I have felt as though I carry a twin spirit within me. Sometimes it feels like a companion, sometimes a reflection, and sometimes a part of myself still waiting to be known. In this collage, the mirrored bodies suggest that mysterious dialogue between the self we inhabit and the self that is still becoming.

 

The lotus, long a symbol of awakening and renewal, rises at the center of the composition. It reminds us that transformation is rarely sudden. Like the opening of a flower, it happens gradually—petal by petal—until what was hidden begins to meet the light.

 

The Unfolding speaks to that quiet but powerful process of becoming more fully ourselves.

 

As with all of my work, this piece remains a living conversation, continuing to evolve as it encounters the imagination and experience of each viewer.
