Artist Note
Created on Easter, this piece honors my belief that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were one — not divided, not diminished, but united in love and spirit. For some, this might feel blasphemous; for me, it is truth-telling. To reimagine these archetypes is to return them to their wholeness, where masculine and feminine are not at odds but woven together.
The bold use of color is intentional — a reminder that our spiritual imagination should not be limited to black-and-white lines drawn by institutions. To see with new eyes is to reclaim the sacred in all its hues.
Where have you been taught to see division that might, in fact, be union?
This piece is a living work. What you see here is one version in time.
