I created Going Home after losing both my mother and father, but it quickly became more than a personal elegy. It reflects the grief we all share when someone we love slips beyond reach, and the mystery we all face in time.

 

For me, this piece holds the paradox of death: sorrow and release, absence and return. It is both farewell and homecoming — a reminder that what feels lost may also be finding its way back into wholeness.
