Artist Note
This piece began with the hollow outline of a boy — empty at first glance, but filled with hidden color and beauty. Then the spiral figure appeared, not hollow at all but layered and complex, reminding me that wholeness doesn’t always look the way we expect. Soon another boy joined them, and suddenly the two seemed destined to stand together in this liminal space.
The light rising behind them symbolizes discovery, while the birds guide them forward — companions on the journey of being found.
