1. INTER-SPIRITUAL Reflect on this quote from Buddha. Ask yourself: What ideas prevent me from writing about something else? What preconceived notions about myself as a writer do I cling to? How difficult is it for me to let go of criticism? 2. EXPERIENTIAL Watch the clouds. Experience them. Don't become too attached to any one of them but write about all of them. Capture the first one that grabs your attention in a word or two (or more). Let it go and capture the next one. 3. PRACTICAL Keep a creativity file. Organize it any way you want — but make it something you will actually use. It can be filled with ideas, words, pages torn from magazines, and more. It can be organized by theme, or project; digital or tangible. Just keep it.
