Disinherited was created during one of my rawest moments, in the weeks following my father’s death.

 

A final wound surfaced, reopening pain I thought I had already laid to rest. It hurt — as it had so often — yet this time I was able to shape that hurt into art and, in doing so, begin to let it go.

​

This collage holds the ache of rejection, but also the strength that comes from transforming sorrow into something that can be released.
