Tree People

First Created: 2025

Medium: Digital collage (PowerPoint)

Artist Note

This collage began with a photograph I took of a statue beneath a tree in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Trees have always held a special pull for me — they feel like guardians, whispering secrets, carrying histories in their roots and branches. By placing the statue in dialogue with the tree, I wanted to explore the conversation between human form and natural presence.

Question

The piece asks us to consider: what do trees know of us, and what might they say if we learned to listen?

This piece is a living work. What you see here is one version in time.
